FUSE
While learning about Early European Settlements in the New World, 4th grade FUSE students visited England, France, and Spain using their Barefoot Atlas and Google Earth apps. By visiting these areas, students were able to learn more about each country that began settling the North American continent, and what life is like for them today.
4th grade FUSE students participated in a fun number cube activity as they practiced their weekly Spelling words! By identifying their six most challenging words, students were able to narrow their practice to where improvement was needed most.
Dr. Eve Rice and several APSU Nursing students visited Mrs. Meek’s 4th grade Wellness class. The APSU students taught a lesson on being a Healthy Fit Kid! Students enjoyed participating in stretching activities, dancing & a push up & sit up competition with the winners getting a basketball & football. All students were also given bottles of water.

Dr. Seuss Week
This week we will celebrate Dr. Seuss’s birthday with a week of fun activities. Today was Mustache Monday and everyone was asked to wear their favorite wacky mustache. Travel Tuesday encourages you to wear a shirt with the name of a place or a vacation style to honor the book “OH the Places You’ll Go!” On Wocket Wednesday grab the outfit with the biggest pockets and stuff them with your favorite wockets (anything will do). Theodore Thursday has you dressing up like your favorite Seuss character! Funny Food Friday encourages you to wear green in honor of Green Eggs and Ham! It’s a fun filled week for our Lower School and you won’t want to miss a minute of it!

Box Tops & Campbell’s Labels
This is a reminder that CA collects Campbell’s labels and Box Tops through our CAA. The money raised from this project funds various school improvement projects. Last year we raised over $2000 through the Box Tops program alone! Please turn yours into your child’s teacher or Ms. Turnage in the front office.
