Motivation

Our Driver’s Education program invited Blake McMeans to speak to the 8th through twelfth grades. Blake was once ranked as a top 5 tennis player in the world and received a fill scholarship to player tennis for the University of Tennessee. But that all changed when he made the choice to drink and drive. After a horrible accident that left Blake in a coma for 3 1/2 months and paralyzed he decided to rebuild his life and talk to young students about making decisions that could change you and your families future forever. Our students were brought to tears and we thank Blake for his commitment to help others make smart decisions.

Art can have an effect on student values, such as tolerance and empathy and their ability to engage in critical thinking, problem solving, and creative collaboration.  Learning to create and appreciate visual aesthetics may be more important than ever to the development of the next generation of students.

Artistic expression and appreciation are a vibrant part of the CA education experience. Our students begin their art journey in PK and may elect to continue through their senior year.

The 2016 Art Walk featured 3D designs by grades PK through 5th.  We invite you to visit our Art Walk in the main hall.

Photos

Many of you take photos at various events and activities around school. We encourage you to share these with our Marketing/PR office as well as our yearbook staff by using the email photos@clarksvilleacademy.com. This email is designed for students and parents to send pictures taken throughout the school year. We encourage you to caption your photo or to write a sentence or two with the event name, students pictured in the photo and the date it was taken. We do not guarantee that every photo will be used, but we look forward to seeing your pictures.

Clarksville Academy now offers a Cougar Bucks Account option to better assist children with their lunch needs! This convenient option gives families the opportunity to deposit money into an account and this money can be withdrawn for miscellaneous items that are available at the express window or the hot lunch window. Payments can now be made via the new online marketplace!

Box Tops & Campbell’s Labels

This is a reminder that CA collects Campbell’s labels and Box Tops through our CAA. The money raised from this project funds various school improvement projects. Last year we raised over $2000 through the Box Tops program alone! Please turn yours into your child’s teacher or Ms. Turnage in the front office.
