Apple Distinguished School
Clarksville Academy has once again been chosen as an Apple Distinguished School. This recognition is for two years and our renewal is for 2015-2017. To be chosen as an Apple Distinguished School means we met five best practices and criteria for excellence—Visionary Leadership, Innovative Learning & Teaching, Ongoing Professional Learning, Compelling Evidence of Success and a Flexible Learning environment. The selection of Clarksville Academy as an Apple Distinguished School highlights our success as an innovative and compelling learning environment that engages students and provides tangible evidence of academic accomplishment. Congratulations to everyone who helped us to achieve this honor.
Player of the Week
Julie Parks, from Heritage Bank, and Head Football Coach Todd Hood presents Grant Hyams with the Player of The Week Award based on his outstanding performance in the Region game against Houston County High School this past Friday night, October 30th. Grant had his best defensive game of the year with 17 tackles (7 for a loss) and one forced fumble. The Cougars lost the region match up 30 to 20. Coach Hood declared “Grant played his best defensive game of his career and lead our team in a great defensive effort.” The Cougars made the play-offs for the 6th consecutive year in a row. They will travel to play Nashville Christian School Friday at 7pm.

This email is designed for students and parents to send pictures taken throughout the school year. W encourage you to caption your photo or to write a sentence or two with the event name, students pictured in the photo and the date it was taken. We do not guarantee that every photo will be used, but we look forward to seeing your pictures.

A new update was released in January. We are currently investigating the Android market and hope to have it available there soon.

Box Tops & Campbell’s Labels
This is a reminder that CA collects Campbell’s labels and Box Tops through our CAA. The money raised from this project funds various school improvement projects. Last year we raised over $2000 through the Box Tops program alone! Please turn yours into your child’s teacher or Ms. Turnage in the front office.
