Homecoming
What an amazing week! Thank you to everyone who donated items, dressed up, decorated doors, decorated color wars & fence designs, bought homecoming shirts, participated in the pep rally, donated time and items to our annual hayride/bonfire and came to the game to cheer on our Homecoming Court and Football team! You all did an amazing job!
Due to your generosity we were able to donate over 1,000 canned goods and household items as well as 25lbs of meat and over 70 pairs of shoes to Manna Café and Salvation Army! We also donated $250 to the American Cancer Society! This was a wonderful thing for our students to participate in. We thank each of you who took part!
Homecoming Court
Congratulations to our Homecoming Court and our new Homecoming Queen, Senior Evelyn Turner.

Player of the Week
Julie Parks, from Heritage Bank, and Head Football Coach Todd Hood present Connor Thomas with the Player of The Week Award based on his outstanding performance in the home game against McEwen High School this past Friday night, September 18th. Connor had his best offensive effort of the year with 16 carries for 143 yards and 3 touchdowns and caught 3 passes for 72 yards and another 2 touchdowns. Connor also had 4 tackles on the defensive side of the ball. The Cougars won the region match up 41 to 6. Coach Hood declared “Connor had his most explosive game yet this year and we are looking for more big nights from our senior.” He ran hard all night long and presented match-up problems for McEwen. The Cougars have a bye this week but will be on the road next week Oct 2 vs. Collinwood at 7pm. Let’s hit the road Cougar fans!!!!!

Photos
Many of you take photos at various events and activities around school. We encourage you to share these with our Marketing/PR office as well as our yearbook staff by using the email photos@clarksvilleacademy.com. This email is designed for students and parents to send pictures taken throughout the school year. We encourage you to caption your photo or to write a sentence or two with the event name, students pictured in the photo and the date it was taken. We do not guarantee that every photo will be used, but we look forward to seeing your pictures.
iCougar App
We encourage everyone with an apple device to download the iCougar app today. A new update was released in January. We are currently investigating the Android market and hope to have it available there soon.

Box Tops & Campbell’s Labels
This is a reminder that CA collects Campbell’s labels and Box Tops through our CAA. The money raised from this project funds various school improvement projects. Last year we raised over $2000 through the Box Tops program alone! Please turn yours into your child’s teacher or Ms. Turnage in the front office.
