Thirty nine Show Choir members and Mrs. Hollis traveled to the mountains last weekend to choreograph the the show for the annual Evening With Friends that will take place on April 16. They left Thursday morning and returned on Sunday. The students stayed in a lodge and ate most of their meals there with some of the moms cooking for them. They would like to thank Mrs. Jessica Maynard, Mrs. Andrea Herrera, Mrs. Cindy Vinson, and Mrs. Denise Walker for making delicious food and taking such good care of the group. Mrs. Dee Holt, choreographer, also traveled with the group. Everyone had a great time.
Our Varsity girls team competed in the District Tournament for the first time in over 10 years. We are so proud of their 4th place finish and know these girls have big things planned for next year! Way to Go Cougars!
Junior Class Parent Meeting
You are invited to attend an informational meeting regarding college planning on Tuesday, March 1, 2016, at 5:00 p.m., in Clarksville Academy’s auxiliary gym. A representative from Austin Peay State University will introduce the Dual Enrollment process and should conclude at approximately 5:30 p.m. The college planning meeting will begin immediately following the Dual Enrollment presentation.
I strongly encourage all parents to attend, if possible. If you are unable to attend, please feel free to set up a meeting with me to discuss your child’s college planning. If you have any questions, please feel free to email or call Denise Walker.
We are preparing for our annual Welcome Wednesday program in February. Each Wednesday we will host prospective families and students on our campus. If you know of a student/family that should be invited to Welcome Wednesdays please send that information to our admissions office at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Many of you take photos at various events and activities around school. We encourage you to share these with our Marketing/PR office as well as our yearbook staff by using the email email@example.com. This email is designed for students and parents to send pictures taken throughout the school year. We encourage you to caption your photo or to write a sentence or two with the event name, students pictured in the photo and the date it was taken. We do not guarantee that every photo will be used, but we look forward to seeing your pictures.
Box Tops & Campbell’s Labels
This is a reminder that CA collects Campbell’s labels and Box Tops through our CAA. The money raised from this project funds various school improvement projects. Last year we raised over $2000 through the Box Tops program alone! Please turn yours into your child’s teacher or Ms. Turnage in the front office.
