Physical Education
The Final Ceremony for the CA Olympics was held and medals were given to the teams with the highest scores. This was a great team building activity and the children had a great time.
Second Grade
Second Graders learned about addends and sums while playing charades in Math Lab. They discussed and wrote problems after students acted out scenes of bowling, going to the movies, playing football, in a candy store, and swimming.
Third Grade
Mrs.Williams’ third grade classes are participating in a scavenger hunt around the room to learn about popular inventors from around the world.
Third grade students are working on graphic organizers using common and proper nouns. Students labeled and categorized pictures in the appropriate columns. Students were also creating a haiku deck using vocabulary words from their reading story.
Jr. Dance
Save the date for Junior Dance Camp with the Varsity Dance team, the week of Oct 24th for 2 days. The junior dancers, pre-k through 5th grade, will be performing at the October 28th football. More details to follow closer to date.
FUSE
Coach Daniels’s Intermediate School CBL group surprised Mrs. Morgan’s 4th graders by inviting them to a game of kickball! The “AOK” group did this as a “random act of kindness”. The students were very appreciative and excited!
Box Tops
This is a reminder that CA collects Box Tops through our CAA. The money raised from this project funds various school improvement projects. Last year we raised over $2000 through the Box Tops program alone! Please turn yours into your child’s teacher or Ms. Turnage in the front office.
