Kindergarten
Kindergarten students were able to create a butterfly using symmetry. The students enjoyed this hands-on activity and loved seeing their designs come to life!
First Grade
After reading our story of the week, A Butterfly Grows, we responded to literature by making a butterfly life cycle.
Third Grade Science Lab
Third graders continue their study of the Atmosphere and Weather. We constructed barometers to measure air pressure. We had examples of anemometers, rain gauges, and barometers in class.
In Mrs. Williams’ third grade science class, they hatched chickens. This is such a fun lesson for our students and at the end of the lesson, the chickens are offered to the students. Zoe Brooks took one of those chickens and is pictured here with her chicken, Lily helping her to do homework!
Third grade students having been learning all about clouds this week. Students designed a Clouds poster and Keynote presentation to identify types of clouds, their appearance, location in the sky and weather associated with each cloud type.
4th Grade FUSE
4th grade FUSE Social Studies students wrote and filmed newscasts to share the knowledge they obtained through their CSI Lost Colony of Roanoke investigation.

Box Tops & Campbell’s Labels
This is a reminder that CA collects Campbell’s labels and Box Tops through our CAA. The money raised from this project funds various school improvement projects. Last year we raised over $2000 through the Box Tops program alone! Please turn yours into your child’s teacher or Ms. Turnage in the front office.
