Social studies

As a culminating activity for our study on Ancient Rome, students researched topics and created Roman mosaics to represent important aspects of the history of Rome.  Items included the coliseum, the story of Romulus and Remus, Roman aqueducts, and Roman Gods.  Students learned about the ancient art form of mosaics, and more details of Rome’s History.

Choir

The Intermediate choir is learning how to compose, create movement, and keep a steady beat with a creative rhythm using cups.  Their challenge started with 2 moves and each day they had to add an additional move until we get to 5 moves. Teamwork and cooperation is a must in this process. They were rated each time by their peers on difficulty, creativity and performance. They hope to perform their creations.

Box Tops & Campbell’s Labels

This is a reminder that CA collects Campbell’s labels and Box Tops through our CAA. The money raised from this project funds various school improvement projects. Last year we raised over $2000 through the Box Tops program alone! Please turn yours into your child’s teacher or Ms. Turnage in the front office.
