Duke Tip Scholars
On May 11th, Anna Sawyer and Akanee Angel participated in the 7th Grade Duke Tip Talent Search Program Recognition Ceremony at Belmont University. The Duke Tip Program ceremony was for students who took the ACT in the past year and scored a 20 composite score or a 21 in at least one of the subjects. In Tennessee, 3,628 students participated and, these young ladies are 2 of the 1,957 students who qualified for the award.

Summer Office Hours
Summer office hours will begin June 1, 2015. Hours will be Monday through Wednesday 8:30-12:00. We will be closed Thursday and Friday. The office will be closed the weeks of May 25-May 29 and June 29-July 6. (We will return July 7.)
Summer Reading
Summer Reading information will be available online in early June. Students should begin summer reading as early as possible.
FCA
FCA will meet each Wednesday at 7:15 in Tecia Hinson’s room. Everyone is invited.
Box Tops & Campbell’s Labels
This is a reminder that CA collects Campbell’s labels and Box Tops through our CAA. The money raised from this project funds various school improvement projects. Last year we raised over $2000 through the Box Tops program alone! Please turn yours into your child’s teacher or Ms. Turnage in the front office.
