Homecoming 2023

Homecoming Week takes place September 11-15.

Homecoming is such an exciting time at Clarksville Academy!  This page will list all the information needed for current families and Alumni. 

Dress-Up Days

Patriotic Day, Monday-Dress in red, white, and blue or in your most patriotic wear in honor of 9/11. 

Twin Day, Tuesday- Pair up or find a group and dress alike.

Color Wars, Wednesday-Each grade is assigned a color (see below). Dress in that color from head to toe.

12th/Kindergarten-Black

11th/5th/PK-Blue

10th/6th/1st-White

9th/7th/2nd- Gold/Yellow

8th/4th/3rd- Silver/Gray

**Students in grades 5-12 will receive their specially designed Color Wars t-shirt on Tuesday to wear on Wednesday. 

Neon Day, Thursday-Dress in neon colors or show us your best 80s look! (Upper School will report directly to the sports complex for Field Day!)

Blue & Gold Day, FridayBring out your best Cougar colors and show your school spirit.


Schedule of Events

9/11 Monday: Varsity Girls Soccer at home at 5:00 PM Sports Complex, Varsity Volleyball, JV at 4:30, Varsity 5:30 Main Gym 

9/14 Thursday: Upper School will host Field Day during Homecoming Week! This will be a time for class bonding, earning spirit points, and overall fun! Every Upper School should attend. All students in grades 9-12 will report directly to the sports complex on Thursday, September 14.

9/14 Thursday: Varsity Girls Soccer at home at 5:00 PM Sports Complex, Varsity Volleyball, JV 4:30, Varsity 5:30 Main Gym–Senior Night, Middle School Football at home 6:30 Simpson Field

4:00-6:00 PM Alumni are invited to Strawberry Alley for a reception
5:00  PM Tailgating Begins
6:40 PM Coronation of the 2023 Homecoming Queen
7:00 PM Varsity Football Game against Grace Christian Academy

Saturday, September 16

Alumni are invited to CA for tours and fun from 10:00-Noon

Homecoming Movie Night for Grades 5/6
Movie: Yes Day
The movie will take place in the auxiliary gym from 5:30-7:00 PM

5th and 6th Grade: Homecoming Movie Dress Code is school/casual attire.
There is no cost for this event.


Homecoming Dance for Grades 7/8
Dance Location for 7th & 8th grade will be the Main Gym 5:30-7:00 PM

Middle School Homecoming Guidelines and Dress Code

You must be a student in CA Middle School to attend the Homecoming Dance or Movie Night.

MS Dance and Movie:  5:30-7

7th and 8th Grade: Homecoming Dance Dress Code is semi-formal:

  • All dresses must be fingertip length. 
  • Dresses may be strapless or have spaghetti straps as long as they fit properly.
  • Dresses may be backless as long as they are not cut below the navel/waistline.
  • Two piece dresses are acceptable if the midriff is not exposed.
  • Slits must not exceed mid-thigh/fingertip length.
  • Low cut garments are unacceptable.
  • Pantsuits, khaki pants, and button up shirts are acceptable.

The following will NOT be permitted:

  • Dresses with revealing cut-outs
  • See-through gowns 
  • Plunging or low-cut necklines
  • Shorts, torn clothing or athletic attire

If there are questions or concerns with attire, students should see their Head of School.  Students and their dates who are non-compliant with the dress code will not be admitted to the dance or will be escorted out of the dance.   



Homecoming Dance for Grades 9-12 
Dance Location for grades 9th-12th is the Main Gym from 8:00-10:00 PM.
Dress is Semi-Formal (dressy Sunday dress/cocktail dress for girls, dress slacks, button down, tie optional for boys–Jeans, shorts, sweats are not allowed)

Upper School Homecoming Guidelines and Dress Code

All outside guests must be currently enrolled in high school, and they must complete an outside guest form.  All outside guest forms must be completed and submitted by Monday, September 11, at 3:30 p.m. Guest forms can be picked up from Mrs. Walker anytime this week.

Homecoming Dress Code is semi-formal:
