On Tuesday, March 28, 2017, Clarksville Academy senior Austin Fisher signed with Southwest Community College located in Memphis, TN. SWCC has one of the premier Junior College basketball programs in our region.
Fisher, a basketball standout for Clarksville Academy, had a career point total of 2,492. He averaged 25 points, 5 assists and 3 rebounds per game. Fisher was named All District for 10A, District 10A All Tournament, TN Prep Hoops Region 5A Team, was a 2017 TN Mr. Basketball Nominee and a Class A TN All State Nominee.
Head Varsity Basketball Coach Matt Wallace offered this statement, “Its been a blessing to be able to coach Austin Fisher. Austin has been an asset to the Clarksville Academy basketball program and the Clarksville Academy community for four years. Our program is better because Austin was a part of it. His 2,492 career points ranks him second in school history. His future is bright, and with continued hard work, we will be hearing a lot more about Austin Fisher in the coming years. I wish him nothing but the best at the next level.” Congratulations to Austin on this wonderful accomplishment.
