Literacy Day
On Friday, December 2 Santa Claus visited CA! Ms. Procter, Mrs. Bell, Mrs. Goostree, and Mrs. Wilson as well as parents, Georgiana Dozier, Kerri Mace, and Jennie Beth Johnston and students Trinity Catellier, Caroline Johnston, and Hadley Wilson worked countless hours to transform our library into a magical playhouse. Students from the Lower School visited the library to hear the story Santa Claus is Coming to Town as told by masterfully painted puppets. Parents, Doug & Julie Catellier, Jennie Beth Johnston, Rebecca Hay, Tim Sawyer, and Alan Austin played the roles of the various characters while Ted Denney took on the part of the narrator! We even had a visit from Santa at the end of the book! (A special thank you to Jimmy Bell for his jolly visit!) Each child received a candy cane and magical reindeer food. We are so thankful to our staff and parents for bringing this book to life.
Choir
The Cougar & Intermediate Choirs performed at the annual lighting of the Christmas tree and city Christmas Parade on Saturday night. They did a fantastic job singing on the Court House steps.
Box Tops
This is a reminder that CA collects Box Tops through our CAA. The money raised from this project funds various school improvement projects. Last year we raised over $2000 through the Box Tops program alone! Please turn yours into your child’s teacher or Ms. Turnage in the front office.
