Art
Each lower school student should have brought home their Original Works Magnet last week. All magnets were placed in a green bag with order forms and cost information. If you wish to purchase the magnet please fill out the required information and return it along with your payment (checks made payable to CA). Parents are not required to purchase the magnet and can simply return it in the green bag. All proceeds made help the lower school art room purchase a variety of materials that are used throughout the year. If you have questions please contact Jordyn Baldwin and the Lower School Art Department at jbaldwin@clarksvilleacademy.com
3rd Grade
Third grade students have been rocking out in Science!!! To bring our rocks and minerals studies to a close students created an original Keynote and Art display to show off their learning. They researched various rocks and minerals websites, then they focused on their birthstone, and chose a mineral and rock of interest for their project. Students were confident and knowledgeable as they orally presented their projects to the class. Way to go, Third graders!!!
3rd grade science lab with Mrs. Askew
This week in Science Lab, 3rd graders created landforms: Mountains, Hills, Valleys, Canyons, Plains, Volcanos, and Mesas. We used modeling clay and placed our landforms in a plastic bin, to represent the geography of the Earth. We hypothesized, predicted, and observed what would happen when we added water. We observed that water would form lakes, rivers, and oceans.
3rd Grade Friends
3rd grade welcomed some new friends this week! Seven baby chicks were born. These chicks are being kept in their classroom and the students are helping to care for them. Feel free to stop in and visit.
4th Grade FUSE
4th grade FUSE students are working on Persuasive Writing. Each student has selected a topic that they feel passionate about, and are now working to persuade others with their thoughts and opinions.

Box Tops & Campbell’s Labels
This is a reminder that CA collects Campbell’s labels and Box Tops through our CAA. The money raised from this project funds various school improvement projects. Last year we raised over $2000 through the Box Tops program alone! Please turn yours into your child’s teacher or Ms. Turnage in the front office.
