CAPA

The CA Parent Association will host their first annual Cougar Consignment Sale on March 7 in the main gym. At this sale CAPA will accept consignments of furniture, formals, maternity, and good/excellent condition clothing and shoes. We ask that no item be over four years old. Talent Show

The Junior Class is excited to announce the annual Clarksville Academy Cougar Talent Show! The show will take place at Clarksville Academy at 5:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 17! Talents can include: Dancing, singing, comedy routines, magic shows, cheer routines, playing an instrument, modeling or other talents! Guests will pay $5 per person at the door, and all funds raised will go to support this year’s Junior- Senior Prom! Students in grades 3-12 are invited to participate! Submit your tryout video on the attached Google Form by Friday, February 28. Email Dr. Danica Booth at dbooth@clarksvilleacademy.com with any questions.

Cougar Scholars

Last week we announced our Val/Sal and our Top 10% of the Senior Class. We are also happy to announce our Cougar Scholars with Distinction and our Cougar Scholars. Panera Night

Athletics

Games this week:

US Basketball – Our varsity girls basketball team had a great weekend! On Friday they beat Nashville Christian in a tough match-up. This secured a place in the Championship game on Saturday and served as Coach Carrie Daniels’ 100th Win as Head Coach at Clarksville Academy! On Saturday the girls faced Goodpasture again and unfortunately did not come away in the top spot. They finished the Region Tournament as Runner-Ups. Another first in school history! On Tuesday, Feb 25 the girls will play CAK out of Knoxville in the first round of the State Tournament. They must win to advance to play on Friday. All Cougar Fans should make plans to be at Varsity Girls Game at 6PM on Tuesday at Procter Court! Wear your blue and gold and get loud!

WrestlingAnnalynn Rackett is the new Girls Wrestling STATE CHAMPION!!!!! Annalynn had a great showing at the Williamson County Ag Expo Center this weekend for the TSSAA Wrestling State Competition. Not only was she State Champion, but her match was also chosen by TSSAA as the best girls match of the competition. Congratulations to Annalynn on her win!

Cougar Booster Club

The Cougar Booster Club is officially taking members! This organization will benefit ALL SPORTS at Clarksville Academy and streamline our athletics fundraising process. The Cougar Booster Board has been hard at work this fall, talking with coaches, finding out what our sports need to be successful and working with Administration. Below you will find a copy of our flyer and membership levels. Cougar Club is taking both individual/family memberships and corporate memberships. Your Cougar Club Board are as follows: Frazier Allen, President, Cammie Bell, Elizabeth Black, David Harper, Casey Jenkins, Dave Loos, Jr., Courtney Mambourg, Matt Miller, Shan Smith, Brad Suiter, Stewart Sykes and Steve Wilson. Anyone who enrolls by May 1st will receive membership benefits for the remainder of this school year and all of the 2020-2021 school year. Individual/Family memberships are $100. CA Experience

The CA Experience program is NOW OPEN FOR REGISTRATION! CA Experience is an after school enrichment program that will focus on activities, classes, artistic lessons, sports training and so much more. Each session will run six weeks and provide a variety of opportunities for our students. These will be titled, CA Winter Experience, CA Spring Experience, CA Summer Experience and CA Fall Experience. Fellowship of Christian Athletes is every Wednesday for ALL Intermediate & Upper School students. You do not have to be involved in athletics to attend. Intermediate School will be in Coach Trent’s room. Upper School in Mr. Boyd’s room 117 under the gym.
