Wrestling –  Annalynn Rackett is the first girl in school history to advance to the State Wrestling competition. A Sophomore, Annalynn has been wrestling for two years. She got into the sport after participating in Jiu Jitsu recreationally. Her favorite part about wrestling are the bonds she has made with teammates and all the memories she has made. When asked her thoughts about wrestling, she stated, “As you wrestle, you learn new things about yourself and your limitations, you also get to create amazing bonds with the people you share your time with.” Her record is 24-2 for the season and she is the first Girls Region Champion, and State Qualifier for our school. The state wrestling tournament is different from all other sports in TSSAA. In this sport you compete against all school in Tennessee, public and private. Annalynn will face competition from across the state, many with longstanding programs. We want to wish her the best of luck as she competes Friday and Saturday. Stay tuned to our social media accounts for updates throughout the day.
