Upper School News: April 3 – April 6, 2018

Key Club

Clarksville Academy Key Club had a fantastic time at District Convention in Lexington, KY over the weekend of March 16th – 18th. On the first night, club members got to hear guest speaker Judson Laipply of the famous youtube video “Evolution of Dance” and watch him perform the dance. On Saturday morning, members participated in learning the dance steps and perform their own version of “Evolution of Dance”. The morning session also included a service project in which the students worked on blankets for the Linus Project.

We are proud to announce that CA brought home 2 trophies in the talent area. Akanee Angel won 1st place in Video, you can watch the video on youtube at https://m.youtube.com/watch?feature=youtu.be&v=6r3Kc_FJhsI. Jenny Li and Christy Zheng earn a second place trophy for their poster project entry.

Christy Zheng ran for the District Office of Treasurer. After 2 nights of grueling question and answer sessions, she won the seat. We are excited to have 2 CA club member serving on the district board, Christy and Brandon Walker. Brandon was elected as the Division 15 Lieutenant Governor. We are very proud of our club and it’s members, in total our 49 members performed over 2,000 service hours.
