Lower School News: February 19 – February 23, 2018

2nd Grade

Second graders expressed their creativity as they designed a Valentine’s Day box to hold their sweet treats! The box designs included a wide variety of ideas from a shower to a Starbucks Frappuccino. The students enjoyed describing their boxes to their classmates. What a fun Valentine’s Day we had!

FUSE

5th graders in the FUSE program celebrated Valentine’s Day with a STEM activity as part of their Valentine’s Day parties.  The goal was to build the tallest tower using Valentine jelly hearts and toothpicks.  Students learned several strategies to successfully support their towers as well as the importance of teamwork and communication.  They enjoyed celebrating the holiday while learning at the same time.

We certainly hope you will join us in making CA an even greater place for our children, faculty and staff!  Please contact Beth Mabry on how to get involved. bethfmabry@gmail.com.

Teacher Treats

Each grade level will have the opportunity one time during the school year to provide Teacher Treats. You may contribute snacks, treats, drinks or a monetary donation to help purchase treats. Please watch for your grade’s week and contact your representative.
