Intermediate School News: February 26 – March 2, 2018

iLink

On Friday students participated in iLink STEM activities.  The students were given 3 challenges to complete and then the whole Intermediate School came together to compete.  The 3 challenges were: 1) archery – build a bow to shoot an arrow the greatest distance. 2) create a ‘diver’ that makes the biggest splash and 3) create a parachute that suspends for the longest time. The students enjoyed working through these challenges.

Help for Victims

United Way is working with our local community partners to provide support and resources to families affected by tornado damage.  Although it’s short notice, below is an immediate opportunity for those who wish to help.  Please share with your networks as this is a quick turn-around, but will be incredibly beneficial to those rebuilding/refurnishing their homes, clothes, food and belongings.

In partnership with American Red Cross of Tennessee River and LifePoint Church, United Way of the Greater Clarksville Region is collecting $25 Visa Gift Cards for local families whose homes were damaged or destroyed by this weekend’s tornado. Gift cards can be dropped off at the United Way office (529 N. Second Street, Clarksville) by 4:30pm today (Monday, 2/26/18) and will be presented to the families this evening at a dinner provided for them by LifePoint.
