Author Kelsey Timmerman
Author Kelsey Timmerman visited Clarksville Academy on Friday to sign student’s copies of “Where Am I Wearing?”. This book was read by all our upper school students as part of their summer reading program. The students enjoyed talking with Mr. Timmerman and hearing more about his thoughts behind his book.
All lower school students will receive 1 car decal in their backpacks today. We encourage every family to place this in the lower corner of their back car window. IS/US students will be given decals during assembly tomorrow. If anyone would like an additional decal please contact the main office. We would love to see every family have this wonderful new decal proudly displayed on their car window.
We would love to have pictures of you and your decal on your Fall Break happenings. Stop and snap a photo and let us know where you went & where you took CA with you on Fall Break! Send all photos to email@example.com. Safe travels!
School photos will be sent home with all students on Tuesday. If you want to order your photos please return the order form by no later than October 20. Retakes will be made on Nov 4.
The Clarksville Academy Fall Festival is quickly approaching! On October 24 from 10:00 AM-3:00 PM families can participate in variety of fun activities. During this annual event we will have carnival games, a silent auction, vendor booths, food and so much more! If you are interested in being a vendor for this year’s fall festival please contact Candice Wall at firstname.lastname@example.org. These booths are open to outside vendors and we encourage you to participate. Each grade will also have a carnival game booth. Check with your child’s teacher/sponsor to sign up for a time to work. Each class is also assigned a themed basket and we ask that items be donated for these. A complete list of baskets is below.
The Varsity Golf Teams have had an amazing season! Both the girls and boys teams have steadily remained on top throughout the season. Last week both teams competed at the Regional Tournament. Sadly, our boys season ended with this final tournament. However, our girls team will advance to the State Tournament for the third year in a row! Only either teams across the state in A-AA advance as a team! Bailey Foote, Mallory Saleh and Hunter Farrell will compete on October 13-14 at Willowbrook Golf Course in Manchester, Tennessee. Great job ladies!
FCA would like to thank everyone who join us at the pole, it was an amazing morning!
Fine Arts Blog
The Fine Arts department has started a weekly blog of their activities! We hope you will check back often to see what your student may be doing in art, music, and drama. Important dates and performance information will also be posted. Bookmark this site for exciting information!
Concert and Show Choirs will be kicking off their yearly fundraiser this Wednesday. The group is selling cookie dough, candles, and cakes until October 20th. This fundraiser helps supplement the equipment, props, some costume needs and our trip to Gatlinburg. See any choir member, Mrs. Hollis, or go by Mrs. Turnage’s desk to place an order and support the group! All purchases will be delivered before Thanksgiving!
Many of you take photos at various events and activities around school. We encourage you to share these with our Marketing/PR office as well as our yearbook staff by using the email email@example.com. This email is designed for students and parents to send pictures taken throughout the school year. W encourage you to caption your photo or to write a sentence or two with the event name, students pictured in the photo and the date it was taken. We do not guarantee that every photo will be used, but we look forward to seeing your pictures.
We encourage everyone with an apple device to download the iCougar app today. This is a great way to stay updated with all the latest in school closings, emergency notifications, etc. If you already have the app, please make sure to go to the app store and update it! A new update was released in January. We are currently investigating the Android market and hope to have it available there soon.
Please contact Kristi Truitt at firstname.lastname@example.org when your child is going to be out of school. This helps us to keep our attendance records up to date. If you know your child will be late due to an appointment please let us know that as well. Thank you.

Box Tops & Campbell’s Labels
This is a reminder that CA collects Campbell’s labels and Box Tops through our CAA. The money raised from this project funds various school improvement projects. Last year we raised over $2000 through the Box Tops program alone! Please turn yours into your child’s teacher or Ms. Turnage in the front office.
