Weekly News: September 23 – September 27, 2019

Thank you to everyone who worked to make this such a special week! We could not do it without student participation and parent support/help! We appreciate you! A HUGE THANK YOU to our Student Council, led by Mr. Corey Boyd, Mr. Josh Pulley & Mr. Adam Welch as well as by our Slate team of: Ellyn Darke, Nick Whitlow, and Diondre Wilson. It was a fabulous week for everyone! Thank you to Ehma Herrera (and her mom Andrea) for all their hard work decorating for the dances. They were beautiful.

Congratulations to our 2019 Homecoming Queen

FCA Update

We are so excited to announce that FCA will now have a prayer locker. This locker is designed for you to simply slip a prayer through the slats and FCA will pray for those requests during their Wednesday morning meetings. These can be done anonymously. This is located in the Senior Hallway near room 117.

See You At The Pole is a annual global event that takes place this year on 9.25.19. Please join F.C.A. at 7:15 Wednesday morning at the flag pole. All students,  parents,  faculty and staff are invited to meet for a short time of food, fellowship and prayer. We look forward to seeing you there!

Clarksville Academy will host its 2nd Annual Fun Run on October 8. We hope that all our students in PreK-12 will participate. Students are eligible for a variety of prizes suitable for all ages! This is a major fundraiser for our school, so we hope your family will participate. Donations can be made through the Marketplace and that link can be shared online! The winning family is also eligible for a prize!! We look forward to another great year of the run!

Junior & Senior News

Juniors & Seniors,

We have partnered with Altra Federal Credit Union for a FREE Tuition Assistance Night!  This meeting will be held Wednesday, September 25th, from 5 to 7, at Clarksville Academy, in the Auxiliary gym. Spaces are still available! Please pass this information along to your students/parents who may benefit from this FREE seminar.

This meeting is in preparation for the FAFSA and CSS Profile, which will both be available on October 1st!

We will have a special guest speaker from Austin Peay to discuss aspects of the FAFSA application, scholarship and grant possibilities, and help answer questions.  Membership to Altra is not required to attend, but we highly encourage registration as there are a limited number of seats.  Light refreshments will be available for students and parents that attend.   They are offering a $50.00 gift card (door prize) for students who pre-register! See the Flyer below!

Box Tops

CA has always used the box tops label program to earn extra money for our school. We have been so lucky in the past for all your support for the program. Over the years we have earned thousands of dollars for our school. This year it is even easier! Simply download the Box Tops for Education app from the app store, pick Clarksville Academy as your school and start scanning your receipts! It’s as easy as that! So start scanning!

Did you know that CA is a Publix Partner? It’s easy to help us raise money for our school by logging your shopping. Visit publix.com/partners and choose Clarksville Academy. Then enter your phone number each time you check out. It’s that easy!

If you have pictures you’d like considered for possible inclusion in the 19-20 yearbook, download the Replay It app and send photos our way. Set up is simple. You can always email your photos to any member of the yearbook staff, but the app saves quite a few steps and makes our staff more efficient.

As always, every student receives a yearbook as part of their tuition and fees. This year, students are able to get personalization on their yearbook cover for a small fee. You can order this for your student(s) at Jostens.com. From their website, search for our school and select yearbook. You should be able to order and pay for personalization there. If you have any questions, please feel free to email ldrake@clarksvilleacademy.com

Fellowship of Christian Athletes is every Wednesday for ALL Intermediate & Upper School students. You do not have to be involved in athletics to attend. Intermediate School will be in Coach Trent’s room. Upper School in Mr. Boyd’s room 117 under the gym.
