This week honors biology students extracted DNA from strawberries using an extraction buffer made from salt, clear shampoo and distilled water. They were able to spool and remove the DNA.
Honors anatomy students dissected sheep kidneys. Next week they will conduct a urinalysis lab. Both labs will be set up as stations on the unit test.
Honors ecology students completed data collection from their decomposition columns and took them apart. Students are compiling data for the lab report on this 7-week project.
Our Varsity Track team is off to a wonderful start! Last Thursday, the group had an exciting meet at Creekwood High School.

Alycia Buggs- 2nd Place in the girls 100m with a time of 13s
Aliyah Wise- 9th Place in the girls 100m with a time of 14.3s
Stone Norris- 2nd Place in the boys 1600m with a time of 4:58
Clarksville Academy Prom will be held on Saturday, May 20th at the beautiful James E. Bruce Convention Center in Hopkinsville, KY. Family and friends are invited to attend the Grand March at 6:00pm.
Prom and After Prom tickets will go on sale April 18th. Prom tickets are $35 each, and After Prom tickets are $20 each. All tickets can be purchased through Mrs. Amanda Pitt.

**Students do not need to come to school at a day or time when they do not have an exam. A study hall is provied for students who have to arrive early or stay after an exam. All students will be dimissed at 11:15. There is no mid-day van service during exams. No lunch is served.
