Loud & Proud Week

The Student Council is happy to announce the addition of Loud & Proud Week!  Next week we encourage our Upper School students to participate in a week of fun activities to show their spirit and support of our Basketball teams.  See the schedule below:

Monday: Holiday—No School

Tuesday: Jersey Day—wear your favorite team’s jersey

Wednesday: University Day—wear your favorite College/University shirt

Thursday: Referee Day—dress like a Referee

Friday: Blue & Gold Day—Show your support of the Cougars by wearing your school colors.

Throughout the week we ask students, parents, and fans use the hashtags, #thecomeback and #doitforthe44

On Friday night after the basketball game Student Council will host a dance for high school students in the Aux. Gym.  This is casual and we encourage students to stay and attend immediately following the game. Dance will take place from 9:30-11:30 and will have a $5 admission.

Honors Biology

Honors biology students used several tests to identify macromolecules.  Using what they learned, they had to test the “stomach contents” of an individual and determine which restaurant was the location of their most recent meal.  Honors anatomy students dissected brains, sampled canned pork brains (yum…), and charted parts of the brain in preparation for the final test of the quarter.

Interact Club

CA’s Interact Club sponsored a toy drive to support the USO’s Great Gift Giveaway. The drive was a huge success and the club officers presented the toys and a donation to USO reps Pamela Holz and Kari Moore last Friday. The USO’s annual event will provide Christmas gifts for more than 350 children of active service members stationed at Fort Campbell.

Key Club

The CA Key Club dropped of donations to the Ronald McDonald House over Christmas break.  Pictured with Shelby & Ben Moore is Sadie the Therapy Dog.

PE

PE enjoyed Circuit Training to jumpstart the new year.  Students were able to rotate through various activities, from ropes, to box jumps, to tire flipping to name a few.  The students enjoyed this high pace, upbeat activity.
