Procter Night
Please join us Friday, December 18, to honor the memory of 1974 elite Clarksville Academy basketball player, Greg Procter, and to support the Greg Procter Endowment Fund. A spaghetti dinner will be held in the Auxiliary Gym from 4:30-7:30 PM during the CA varsity basketball games. Tickets are $4.40 per dinner. Donors who give at the Cougar Club level and above will receive 2 tickets at the door in appreciation for their contribution. Congratulations Dr. Drew
Dr. Kay D. Drew completed her dissertation for the Ed. Doctoral Program at Lipscomb University. After two and a half years and earning the highest degree in education, Dr. Drew plans to explore her findings deeper and continue building community relationships. Her research on veteran use of their educational benefits at private and public colleges and universities in Tennessee will be published and available by January 2016. Experiencing this rigorous program has been beneficial to her in her profession and leadership.
She will walk at commencement on Saturday, December 19, 2015.

School Photo Retake Order
School photo retakes have arrived from Fidelity School Portraits. Please take time to review your student’s proof.
You may purchase your child’s photo by returning the order with payment to school by Tuesday, December 15.
Lower School students return envelope and payment to their classroom teacher. Upper School students return envelope and payment to Mrs. Turnage in the main foyer.
Athletics & Toy Soldier
Deployed soldiers and their families face a tough time during the holiday season. For those with small children, the burden can be even greater. Clarksville Academy is teaming up with Sykes Funeral Home to collect one large and one small toy for each child of these families in need. Toys should be delivered by December 18 and can be dropped off in the main lobby of our gym area. Thank you for your donation to Operation Toy Soldier. Photos
Many of you take photos at various events and activities around school. We encourage you to share these with our Marketing/PR office as well as our yearbook staff by using the email photos@clarksvilleacademy.com. This email is designed for students and parents to send pictures taken throughout the school year. We encourage you to caption your photo or to write a sentence or two with the event name, students pictured in the photo and the date it was taken. We do not guarantee that every photo will be used, but we look forward to seeing your pictures.
iCougar App
We encourage everyone with an apple device to download the iCougar app today. This is a great way to stay updated with all the latest in school closings, emergency notifications, etc. If you already have the app, please make sure to go to the app store and update it! A new update was released in January. We are currently investigating the Android market and hope to have it available there soon.
Attendance
Please contact Kristi Truitt at ktruitt@clarksvilleacademy.com when your child is going to be out of school. This helps us to keep our attendance records up to date. If you know your child will be late due to an appointment please let us know that as well. Thank you.

Cougar Bucks may be added to your Cougar Card any time day or night! We encourage everyone to take advantage of this easy way to pay for lunch, break, or even the Cougar Store! News from the Cougar Café
Please remember to Pre-Order Lunch each week. This is very important even when you are on the annual or bi-annual lunch plan. Clarksville Academy now offers a Cougar Bucks Account option to better assist children with their lunch needs! This convenient option gives families the opportunity to deposit money into an account and this money can be withdrawn for miscellaneous items that are available at the express window or the hot lunch window. Payments can now be made via the new online marketplace!

Box Tops & Campbell’s Labels
This is a reminder that CA collects Campbell’s labels and Box Tops through our CAA. The money raised from this project funds various school improvement projects. Last year we raised over $2000 through the Box Tops program alone! Please turn yours into your child’s teacher or Ms. Turnage in the front office.
