CBL Ribbon Cutting
Our CBL Fitness Groups spent their first CBL Day of the year at a ribbon cutting for Rotary Park. Last year’s group secured a grant for $50,000 to place outdoor fitness equipment at both Rotary Park and the Clarksville Greenway. We are very proud of our students and their achievements.
Biology with Mrs. Little
During our enhanced schedule day this week, Mrs. Little’s Honors Biology classes performed a lab to determine the effects of temperature on enzyme activity. Student’s compared the chemical reactions of living tissues and non living tissues with hydrogen peroxide.
Cougar Forensics
The brand new Cougar Forensics team began competing this past weekend at Portland High School’s Speech and Debate Tournament. Tabitha Lee and Christy Zheng competed in Public Forum Debate, Susan Conner competed in Congressional Debate, and Tyler Jones competed in Poetry. None of our students advanced to final rounds in their first tournament, but they learned a lot and had a lot of fun trying a new activity! Mrs. Baron is so proud of her competitors and is looking forward to many more tournaments ahead!

Photos
Many of you take photos at various events and activities around school. We encourage you to share these with our Marketing/PR office as well as our yearbook staff by using the email photos@clarksvilleacademy.com. This email is designed for students and parents to send pictures taken throughout the school year. W encourage you to caption your photo or to write a sentence or two with the event name, students pictured in the photo and the date it was taken. We do not guarantee that every photo will be used, but we look forward to seeing your pictures.
Box Tops & Campbell’s Labels
This is a reminder that CA collects Campbell’s labels and Box Tops through our CAA. The money raised from this project funds various school improvement projects. Last year we raised over $2000 through the Box Tops program alone! Please turn yours into your child’s teacher or Ms. Turnage in the front office.
iPad/iPhone App
We encourage you to download our mobile app from the App Store. We are currently only available on Apple products. This app will provide wonderful updates about what is going on at our school.
