Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade

This week three of Clarksville Academy’s Varsity Cheerleaders, Morgan Wilson, Day Weaver, and Mimi Strong, will be a part of an elite group of cheerleaders that will perform in the 89th annual 2015 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.  This is an amazing opportunity for these cheerleaders as they will perform in a nationally televised performance LIVE on NBC in one of the most celebrated parades in the world.   These young ladies will spend the week before Thanksgiving in New York City sightseeing and rehearsing for their performance on Thanksgiving Day. This is the 5th year CA has been represented in this exclusive event.  Approximately 500 cheerleaders nationwide are selected based on their skill, talent, and cheer expertise.  Please join us in celebrating this wonderful accomplishment for these young ladies.  The parade will air LIVE on NBC on Thursday.

Latin

Classics Day at APSU,  began with a lecture on Hadrian’s Wall. From there, we went to activities such as a Myth Game, a Q & A panel of professors and students, and an arts and crafts activity, either coin or jewelry making. At the end of the day, we had lunch and an awards ceremony.
Tabitha Lee won 1st place in the Poster Contest. She is pictured with Dr. Winters, with Classics, Latin, and Greek in the Department of Languages and Literature.

Many of you take photos at various events and activities around school.  We encourage you to share these with our Marketing/PR office as well as our yearbook staff by using the email photos@clarksvilleacademy.com.  This email is designed for students and parents to send pictures taken throughout the school year.  W encourage you to caption your photo or to write a sentence or two with the event name, students pictured in the photo and the date it was taken.   We do not guarantee that every photo will be used, but we look forward to seeing your pictures.

Box Tops & Campbell’s Labels

This is a reminder that CA collects Campbell’s labels and Box Tops through our CAA.  The money raised from this project funds various school improvement projects.  Last year we raised over $2000 through the Box Tops program alone!  Please turn yours into your child’s teacher or Ms. Turnage in the front office.
