Upper School News for March 3 – 9, 2014

CA Steak Dinner

Due to the inclement weather we have had this week which has caused our delivery trucks for food, sound, lighting and more to not be able to reach campus, we are postponing Steak Dinner to April 5, 2014.

This spectacular event in its 25th year relies heavily on our volunteers. In order to uphold our history of success, we have decided to move Steak Dinner to Saturday, April 5, 2014.;

This will ensure our volunteers and suppliers safe and timely delivery of supplies and give full prep time for all aspects of the event.

If there are questions or concerns regarding the change in date, please contact Sally Allen at . We look forward to seeing you there! Thank you!

School Updates

This will give teachers and students an opportunity to continue course work and also provide students to have additional grades to average for this quarter.

LOWER SCHOOL WILL ATTEND SCHOOL ON FRIDAY, MARCH 7TH.

Shakespeare Competition

On Saturday, Ahauve Orusa (CA Junior) competed against eighteen other competitors at the Regional Shakespeare Competition.

While she did not place this year, Ahauve did a beautiful job representing CA through her recitation of Sonnet 129 and a monologue from Richard III. We are so proud of her!

CA Cheerleading Tryouts

If your child is interested in trying out for the Clarksville Academy Varsity Cheerleading Squad, it is that time of year again. Tryout packets and information can be picked up in Mrs. Walker’s office. The parent interest meeting will be held on Monday, March 17th at 4:30 p.m. in the Auxiliary gym.

Box Tops & Campbell’s Labels

This is a reminder that CA collects Campbell’s labels and Box Tops through our CAA. The money raised from this project funds various school improvement projects. Last year we raised over $2000 through the Box Tops program alone! Please turn yours into your child’s teacher or Ms. Turnage in the front office.
