CBL

Our April CBL day found us finalizing our Solutions.  We began our year with the concept: Together We Can… IMPACT Clarksville.  Throughout the course of our school year, groups have mentored children, and celebrated with Senior Adults.  We have supported our currently deployed troops with letters and investigated Civil War Veterans. Teams have volunteered at Manna Cafe, and created food boxes for families, while other teams fed abandoned Pets.  We volunteered at Salvation Army for the Homeless and visited Residential Homes with dozens of Senior occupants. We have attended Military Graduations and Hawaiian Culture Lessons.  We sent Solar Lights to shacks that barely resemble a home and volunteered at Habitat for Humanity to help provide a home. We nourished families by providing donations for food boxes, nourished the health of Clarksville with exercise equipment, and nourished hearts as we gave out gifts at nursing homes.  We used our Artistic abilities while we painted EMPTY bowls for the hungry, and created art for needy children. We used Mathematic abilities while we measured and cut boards.  We used Language Skills while we wrote letters, and Technology while we filmed events.  We relied on Historical facts while we honored our Military, and integrated Science while we looked at innovative ways to go Green. We managed finances while we spent donations, and earned funding while we manned booths. We moved from Art to History, from Math to Science, from Music to Physical Fitness, from Language to Photography from Business to Finance and we had a Ball& – Literally (for Wounded Warrior Families).  We began our year with a concept – Together We CAN, IMPACT Clarksville.  As we close our year, Together We DID.

It has been a privilege to be a part of what your CBL groups have accomplished this year.  Our Together We Can Film Festival will be the culmination of a year’s work. Looking forward to the festival as our way to communicate  how each group has made it’s IMPACT on our city.
