Upper Schools News for Oct 6-12, 2014

Congratulations Annalise

Congratulations to Freshman Annalise Martin for being chosen to the State Honors Choir. We are extremely proud of her for achieving this special honor.

Reminder Fall Break begins this Friday with a full day of no school and continues through Friday, October 17. We will return to school rested, relaxed and ready to complete the semester on October 20. Enjoy your break!

Show Choir

Concert and Show Choir are selling Cookie Dough, Cakes, and Candles from now until October 20.  The profits help fund costumes, the Disney World trip, and extra needs that come up during show choir season.  There are 10 delicious cookie dough flavors that are packaged in 2 pound tubs for $10 each.  Six flavors of moist and delicious pound cakes, also $10 each and 12 oz. candles in 8 different fragrances for $12 each.  Please see Mrs. Turnage, Mrs. Hollis, or any choir member for more information or to make a purchase.  The products will be here before the Thanksgiving Holiday!

On Saturday, October 18, 2014, from 8:00-11:30 A.M., Clarksville Academy will administer the PSAT to all 10th and 11th graders who wish to participate. This test is scheduled nationally by the College Board and is given on the same dates and times throughout the country. If you and your child decide to sign up for the test, the deadline to sign up and pay fees is Friday, September 19, 2014.  The fee for the PSAT is $20.00 and should be paid in the guidance office.

Scheduling Information

We are currently updating the iCougar app and therefore some of the information contained in it is incorrect. Many of you have asked about your child’s daily schedule or the Lower School Lunch schedule. All of these can be found on the website under Daily Schedule. Please use this link when needed:

FCA will meet each Wednesday at 7:15 AM in Coach Chuck Holt’s room. We invite everyone to attend!

Box Tops & Campbell’s Labels

This is a reminder that CA collects Campbell’s labels and Box Tops through our CAA. The money raised from this project funds various school improvement projects. Last year we raised over $2000 through the Box Tops program alone! Please turn yours into your child’s teacher or Ms. Turnage in the front office.

iPad/iPhone App

We encourage you to download our mobile app from the App Store. We are currently only available on Apple products. This app will provide wonderful updates about what is going on at our school.
