Note from the Guidance Office
Any High School student:
Gateway VolunTeen Program 2013
Applications for the 2013 Gateway VolunTeen Program are available in our guidance office. This program allows students to experience the activities of a medical facility while giving back to their community. Students must be able to commit to the entire 4 week session. Guidelines are as follows:
-Students must be 14 years of age by May 1, 2013, and completing the 9th grade or above to participate.
-You can be no older than 18 years of age on May 1, 2013, to participate.
-You must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 as confirmed by your guidance counselor.
-Require two letters of reference and a 150-200 word essay.
-Attend orientation on Friday, June 14, 8:30 am – 12:30 pm (Mandatory).
-Volunteer twice a week (you will have a set schedule) the weeks of June 17, June 24, July 8, and July 15.
(The week of July 1st is an optional volunteer week due to the Independence Day holiday.)
All VolunTeen applications are due to Mrs. Denise Walker, School Counselor, by Monday, March 25th.
Chaney Laurent will have her photography 2 photo exhibit on display in the Brenda Stone Fine Arts Building beginning on March 26. Her opening reception will be at 6 PM on this date. We invite all our Cougars to come out and support Chaney.
The annual Steak Dinner, An Evening with Friends is a 23 year tradition at CA that will take place on Saturday, March 23. It is night of great food, wonderful music and friends. You won’t want to miss this year’s show featuring the Lower School Cougar Choir, the Intermediate School Choir & the Upper School Show Choir! They have been working hard all year to prepare a wonderful night! Steak dinner tickets are still available! Tickets are $75.

Varsity tennis plays Monday at home against Merrol Hyde, Tuesday at Montgomery Central, Thursday at Cheatham Co and Friday at Sycamore! Go Cougars!
Varsity Soccer will play Monday at home against Greenbrier and travel to Sycamore on Thursday!
The baseball team plays at HOME all week! Monday we take on Pleasant View Christian, Tuesday it’s Grace Baptist, Thursday is Sycamore with a JV game, and finally on Friday we take on Northwest with JV also playing. Come out to Wes Smith Field and cheer on your Cougars!
Softball will travel to Pleasant View Christian on Monday and head to East Robertson on Tuesday with JV playing. Go Cougars!
Intermediate School Baseball
Intermediate Baseball travels to Lighthouse on Monday, Middle TN Christian on Tuesday, and plays at East Robertson on Saturday!
Please join Fellowship of Christian Athletes on Wednesdays for our meeting! This year Upper school FCA will meet in Coach Holt’s classroom #118 (under the gym). We will be meeting on Wednesday mornings at 7:15 a.m. Please come and be a part of FCA, everyone is welcome!
