Three CA Sixth Graders Attend National Young Scholars Program at UNC Chapel Hill

Clarksville Academy sixth graders Samuel Nicholson and Stone & Taylor Norris got the summer opportunity of a lifetime.

They spent one week at UNC Chapel Hill living like college kids while attending the National Young Scholars Program.

Each child chose their area of interest while there. Samuel chose to study Engineering where he built a vehicle of the future.   Stone chose the Explorers strand where he studied all the areas offered at the program, (CSI, Engineering, Medicine, and Leadership).  Taylor chose the Crime Scene Investigation (CSI) strand, where he solved a crime with other students.  Each of them also attended the Leadership strand where they learned how to “Step Forward as a Leader.”

This was an exciting, fun filled time where they learned many valuable lessons.  Congratulations to these students for being chosen to such an elite program.
