Summer Reminders 2013

The information listed below is to help prepare for the upcoming school year.

 

TECHNOLOGY & CLASS ORIENTATIONS

Lower School iPad mini Orientation

There will be a brief iPad mini Information Session for parents after each grade-level class Orientation. (See Orientation Schedule below)

More information on meeting location will be given at the Orientation.

The iPad minis will not be distributed to the students until the first full week of school.

2013-2014 FEES:
Student Basic Fee: The Student Basics Fee is due at orientation. This one-time $100 fee pertains to all students in Pre-K through 12th grade. The Student Basics Fee will cover an All-Sports Pass for the year, fees for special events, such as: Homecoming, Bonfire, Spirit Week events, Government Day, Back to School Bash, course support materials, etc. Any parents wanting to purchase the All-Sports Pass at a discounted rate will be able to do so at orientation. If paying by check, please make checks payable to Clarksville Academy.

Transportation: If your family is in need of transportation for the upcoming academic year, please submit the online form no later than July 31st. Information for bus transportation and the downloadable bus service registration form are available at https://clarksvilleacademy.com/news-events/transportation-available/.
Student Driver Parking Registration: If your student driver has not reserved parking for 2013-2014, registrations may be submitted at orientation.

Extended Care: Mrs. Whitlow and Mrs. Cook look forward to working with your children through CA’s Extended Care Program. We offer morning care from 6:30 A.M. to 8:00 A.M. and afternoon care from 3:00 P.M. to 5:45 P.M. Please contact the Business Office for more information on registering your child for 2013-2014 and payment options.

Lunch Forms: Lunch forms are available on our website at https://docs.google.com/a/clarksvilleacademy.com/spreadsheet/viewform?formkey=dFNSVm93Si12MF85Q24yRmhTOVh0Ync6MQ#gid=0. You can find these forms at the mid section of the main CA page. The first two weeks of lunch forms for 2013-2014 will be available on August 1st for families to pre-order for their children. Pre-orders must be submitted by August 8th.

 

IMPORTANT SUMMER READING REMINDER for GRADES 2nd – 12th

If you have not started your Summer Reading assignment, now is the time to do so.

All Summer Reading assignments (required) are available online at https://clarksvilleacademy.com/academics/summer-reading/many books have printable study guides to complete and turn in during the first week of school.

School Supply Lists: Supply Lists are available on our website at https://clarksvilleacademy.com/academics/supply-list/.

PowerSchool Updates:
Directory Information: The 2013-2014 School Directory will be compiled from PowerSchool. Please view your child’s information in PowerSchool and make any updates or corrections, if needed, no later than Thursday, August 15th. You may find the link to PowerSchool by visiting http://208.88.175.76:8080/public/. PowerSchool will be located under the Quick Links section. If you have not received log-in information for your child’s PowerSchool account, please contact the office at 931-647-6311 or email Kari Turner at kturner@clarksvilleacademy.com or Sheila Ragsdale at sragsdale@clarksvilleacademy.com.

 

Emergency Contact Information: All emergency contact information for each student will be housed in each child’s PowerSchool account.  Please visit your child’s PowerSchool account any time after August 1st to provide all emergency information for your child. You will log into PowerSchool and click the Demographic/Emergency tab.  You will also find a parent release section to complete at the bottom of that page.  Please have all information updated no later than August 15th, 2013, as this is a requirement for your child to begin on the first day of school.  If you need any assistance, please do not hesitate to contact the front office at 931-647-6311.  If your child is a first year cougar and you have not received a PowerSchool Login and Password, please contact the front office.  We can provide you with this information.
