Queen City Road Race Art Contest
Recently, 3rd thru 5th grade submitted entries to the 36th annual Queen City Road Race art contest. Two semifinalists were picked from CA – Mary Caroline Hagan from Mrs. Morgan’s room and Molly Clark from Mrs. Hendrix’s room. Representatives came on Thursday afternoon from Cumberland Bank & Trust and City of Clarksville Parks & Rec to give the girls a certificate and an art kit for being picked as semifinalist. But we got an even bigger surprise that afternoon!!! Molly Clark was also being recognized as the overall winner of the art contest – she beat out students from about 7 other Clarksville elementary schools!!!! Her artwork will used for all kinds of advertising for the race – newspaper articles, billboards and T-shirts! For being the overall winner she won a Subway party for her class and $100 dollars for the art program here at CA! We are so proud of her and her amazing talent!

Box Tops & Campbell’s Labels
This is a reminder that CA collects Campbell’s labels and Box Tops through our CAA. The money raised from this project funds various school improvement projects. Last year we raised over $2000 through the Box Tops program alone! Please turn yours into your child’s teacher or Ms. Turnage in the front office.
