Clarksville Academy - Promoting Academic Excellence, Moral Integrity, Physical Growth, and Civic Responsibility

Lower School News for April 28 – May 4, 2014

Pre-K has a great week planned for “X” Marks the Spot!  We are going to be learning about the letter X and all about pirates.  On Friday, students will be surprised to find pieces of a treasure map that will result in us hunting for treasure across the CA Campus!

3rd Grade

During Reading/Language Arts time, 3rd grade students are working in small groups reading an A to Z Mystery novel! Students are using skills they have learned in Reading to solve the mystery in their given novel. They are working through their “case files” diligently to make predictions, create suspect lists, identify clues, and work toward conclusions. They even have actual files and “detective” reading badges!

Lost and Found

Has anyone seen my white Abercrombie coat?  How about my New Balance tennis shoes?  That Polo jacket?  Oh yeah, they are all in the LOST & FOUND!  If you have items that are lost or misplaced please stop by the Gym

and check out our Lost & Found.  We have many, many items that need to be claimed prior to the end of the school year.  Thank you!

Box Tops Campbell’s Labels

This is a reminder that CA collects Campbell’s labels and Box Tops through our CAA. The money raised from this project funds various school improvement projects. Last year we raised over $2000 through the Box Tops program alone! Please turn yours into your child’s teacher or Ms. Turnage in the front office.
