CA Football

The Cougars will take on Jo Byrns in the first round of the state playoffs. The game will be at 7:00 PM at Jo Bryns on Friday, November 8. Tickets will be for sale at the door. We will not pre-sale tickets at this time. Please come out and cheer on our Cougars!



The next ACT test will be given on Saturday, December 14, 2013. The registration deadline for this test is Friday, November 8, 2013. It is recommend that ALL juniors take the December test. Students can sign up for the ACT at If you have questions or need assistance, please contact Mrs. Walker at


“The Curious Savage”

The Drama class will be performing “The Curious Savage” on Saturday, Nov 9 at 7pm in the Auxiliary Gym. Tickets will be $5 at the door.

Harris Holt Martial Arts Academy

Harris Holt is offering an after-school program for students that are interested in martial arts. Please contact Harris Holt for more information on this program.



CA Basketball

Basketball Jamboree at APSU on Thursday, Nov 7. Girls play at 7:10 and Boys immediately follow.


Congratulations Bailey…

Congratulations to Bailey Foote for placing 22 out of 186 runners at the State Cross Country Meet on Saturday. Her time was 20:56 a personal best for that course. We are so proud of Bailey and her accomplishments both on and off the playing fields!

Future Expansion

The first preview of building rendering was shown during our Annual Steak Dinner. The drawing will be on display in our foyer as well as online for our parents, students, alumni and other interested stake holders to view. We encourage you to share your thoughts and comments with Sally Allen ( and Tricia Wallace in our Development Office, Sharon Grimes, Board of Trustee Chair and Kay Drew ( our Head of School.

Our friends in the Cougar Café have been extremely busy lately. Not only do they strive to make and serve excellent food, but they are also working towards personal fitness goals. At every bell during the day, they do crossfit exercises! Great job!!

Box Tops & Campbell’s Labels

This is a reminder that CA collects Campbell’s labels and Box Tops through our CAA. The money raised from this project funds various school improvement projects. Last year we raised over $2000 through the Box Tops program alone! Please turn yours into your child’s teacher or Ms. Turnage in the front office.
