CA needs your help!!

We ask anyone who may have jars with lids to donate them to CA by Monday, December 2nd. Baby jars are preferred, but pickle jars, spaghetti jars, etc. will work. Thank you!

 

Living Literacy Day

Living Literature is back!  On December 6th, we will enjoy a day with Mr. Willowby’s Christmas Tree. If you would like to order a copy of this book to be presented to your child on December 6, please return the order form no later than Friday, November 22.  Books are $15. Quantities are limited and we cannot guarantee enough books for everyone.

Governor’s School

Any Junior or Sophomore wishing to apply to Governor’s School must have their application turned in to the Guidance Office by Monday, December 2nd.  Please call or email Mrs. Walker if you have any questions,

 

Driver’s Education

Driver Education Awareness Week is Monday, December 2-Thursday, December 5th. On Thursday at 12:15, there will be a special assembly.

 

CA at Macy’s Day Parade

The 2013 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City will feature a performance by more than 700 cheerleading and dance team members representing Varsity Spirit.  This year three of Clarksville Academy’s Varsity Cheerleaders, Merideth Hinson, Nicole Mullins, and Victoria Favorite, will be a part of this elite group of cheerleaders that will perform in the 87th annual 2013 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Congratulations!!!

 

Junior Cheer

The Junior Cheerleaders will perform at the basketball game on December 6th at 6pm. Practice for the performance will be held December 5th from 3pm – 4pm.

Future Expansion

The first preview of building rendering was shown during our Annual Steak Dinner.  The drawing will be on display in our foyer as well as online for our parents, students, alumni and other interested stake holders to view.  We encourage you to share your thoughts and comments with Sally Allen () and Tricia Wallace in our Development Office, Sharon Grimes, Board of Trustee Chair and Kay Drew () our Head of School.

News from the Cougar Café

Clarksville Academy now offers a Cougar Cash Account option to better assist children with their lunch needs! This convenient option gives families the opportunity to deposit money into an account and this money can be withdrawn for miscellaneous items that are available at the express window or the hot lunch window.

Box Tops & Campbell’s Labels

This is a reminder that CA collects Campbell’s labels and Box Tops through our CAA. The money raised from this project funds various school improvement projects. Last year we raised over $2000 through the Box Tops program alone! Please turn yours into your child’s teacher or Ms. Turnage in the front office.

We encourage you to download our mobile app from the App Store. We are currently only available on Apple products. This app will provide wonderful updates about what is going on at our school.
