Summer Camp

Wondering what to do this summer? Our summer camps have something for everyone! We have camps starting with our Pre-K students through to adults! Want to learn more about the iPad? How about some fun with Legos? Art or crafts more your thing? Are you an adult and looking to learn more about photography from a professional? Do you like to do science experiments? Play sports? No matter what your interest, we have something for you! Check it out online, but don’t delay our camps are filling up fast! Camps are not limited to CA students so bring a friend!

New Camps have been added!!! We have summer camps for ADULTS too!


Summer Hours

Clarksville Academy will close on May 24 and reopen on June 3 with summer hours. The office will be open Monday through Wednesday from 8:30-1:00 p.m. Clarksville Academy will be closed May 24-June 2 and July 1-5. We will begin regular 8:00-3:00 hours on Monday, August 5.


Summer Reading

Summer Reading lists for Upper School have been posted online. Intermediate & Lower School lists should be available before the end of school. We encourage you to look these over early in the summer! Happy Reading!


Report Cards

Report cards for Lower School will be sent home on Wednesday with your child. Intermediate & Upper School report cards will be mailed in early June.


Cougar Chronicle

This student run publication is available on our Cougar News Board! Check it out!


Nature Center

Our 5th grade students have been working this year on a Challenge Based Learning Project of their own! They researched, designed, and implemented a nature center right here on our campus! If you haven’t had a chance to check it out, please stop by soon! It is located behind the school. You can access it by taking the short driveway located by the Brenda Stone Fine Arts Building.



Student Technology

Each student will turn in their technology equipment for summer maintenance as soon as they are done with it, or when they finish their last final exam. Additionally, each grade has a designated day to pick up your equipment over the summer.

You can visit the Help Desk anytime from 8:30-2:00 on the following days to pickup your equipment:

(2013-14 grades)
June 10 – Senior Pickup day
June 17 – Junior Pickup day
June 24 – Sophomore Pickup day
July 22 – 8th grade pickup day
July 29 – 7th grade pickup day

If you are unable to come to the Help Desk to pick up your iPad on the designated day, please come on one of the other dates above. If none of these dates will accommodate, please email the Help Desk to arrange pickup.

Future Expansion

The first preview of building rendering was shown during our Annual Steak Dinner.  The drawing will be on display in our foyer as well as online for our parents students alumni and other interested stake holders to view.  We encourage you to share your thoughts and comments with Sally Allen ( and Tricia Wallace in our Development Office, Sharon Grimes, Board of Trustee Chair and Kay Drew ( our Head of School.

Science Fun

Our lower school science classes are participating in an experiment of the week with Mrs. Askew. Throughout the semester she will video these and we will post them on our Clarksville Academy YouTube Channel. We encourage you to go out and watch these videos weekly.


Box Tops & Campbell’s Labels

This is a reminder that CA collects Campbell’s labels and Box Tops through our CAA. The money raised from this project funds various school improvement projects. Last year we raised over $1500 through the Box Tops program alone! Please turn yours into your child’s teacher or Ms. Turnage in the front office.



Please join Fellowship of Christian Athletes on Wednesdays for our meeting! This year Upper school FCA will meet in Coach Holt’s classroom #118 (under the gym) and Intermediate school FCA will meet in Mrs. Hinson’s classroom #128. We will be meeting on Wednesday mornings at 7:15 a.m. Please come and be a part of FCA, everyone is welcome! You do not have to be an athlete to participate in FCA.
