Solutions Film Festival
The Solutions Film Festival for CBL was a huge success! All of our groups found usable solutions to help different areas in Clarksville. Areas such as pet overpopulation, recycling, clean water, fitness, arts and more were researched. This was an exciting project for our students and something that will help them as they continue in their studies.
One group chose fitness as their challenge. They researched public fitness and how they could incorporate this into our current public parks. Their solution is to put fitness equipment at Liberty Park. The group filled out a grant application with the Community Health Foundation and were awarded at $23,956 grant! This was a HUGE success for our students, community and school!
Thank you to all the parents and volunteers who cooked, brought goodies, were lunch monitors and those who showed their teachers how much you care during Teacher Appreciation week last week. We appreciate you!
Field Day is such an exciting day for our students. The dates for Field Day are Upper/Intermediate School on May 14. Students should arrive and depart from the field. If a student needs to arrive at main campus and not the field please let your class sponsor know ASAP so arrangements to the field can be made. Students should dress appropriately and should wear both a hat and sunscreen. We encourage them to bring a bottled water.
Lower School will have field day on May 17. Students will come to main campus and then be shuttled out to the field. Please dress your child appropriately with sunscreen, a beach towel for sitting on, a hat and a bottled water with their name on it.
Clarksville Academy Football Pancake Breakfast will be held Saturday May 18th from 8 AM until Noon Tickets are $5.00 and can be purchased from a player or Coach Todd Hood.
Also on that day from 8-12 Intermediate School Football Sign ups will be held. Students will be fitted for their equipment and summer information will be handed out. Coach John Conn will be present to go over this information. All interested players are asked to attend. We are no longer playing Jr Pro League.
