Magazine Sales

Magazine sales will kick off on Wednesday August 21. This is our largest fundraiser at Clarksville Academy and helps to offset our budget. We ask that each student sell a minimum of 10 magazines. Each student who sells 5 magazines will receive a special CA spirit shirt! A letter containing all this information will be available on Wednesday.

Pep Assembly

On Thursday, August 22nd, at 2:30 we will kick off the Battle of the River, with a Pep Rally on Procter Court. Parents are welcome to attend and sit on the visitor’s side. All visitors should check in with Mrs. Turnage at the front desk.

Its Football Time at CA! Come out and support your Cougars!!!! Our first varsity game will be Thursday, August 22 at 7PM at Simpson Field. The Cougars will take on Montgomery Central for the Battle of River! Arrive early because parking will be limited.

It’s that time of the year again! Football Time at Clarksville Academy! As many of you know we began Tailgate Alley in the last couple of years and it has taken off! We will have reserved spots which face the football field for all home games. These spots are reserved on a first come first serve basis and can now be reserved for the season. In order for Tailgate Alley to run smoothly, we have a few guidelines.

  1. We encourage multiple families to tailgate together–this makes it more fun! However, only one parking spot per tailgate reservation will be provided. If multiple families tailgate together all but one will need to park in general parking. Please do not have more than one car/truck per tailgate spot. We ask that no one park in the grassy area next to the baseball fence which faces the football field.
  2. Each tailgate reservation must have a tent/table. Make it fun and even decorate a little!
  3. Tailgate Alley is a chance to show your support for our football team prior to the game. It is not to be used for parking close to the field. All reserved spots should include tailgating.
  4. If you reserve a spot for the whole season, please set up for each game. If you cannot make a game, please contact Theresia Burchett in advance so that your spot may be given to another family.
  5. We will work to assign requested spots, but please remember it is first come and we cannot guarantee a specific spot or specific neighbors.
  6. HAVE FUN! Enjoy tailgate alley and show your support for our Cougars!

To Reserve your spot, please contact Theresia Burchett today at

**As mentioned at the Back To School Bash, we know the opening game against Montgomery Central this Thursday, will be a crowded one. We encourage fans to arrive early. We will have designated volunteers who will assist with parking on this night. We will utilize all areas to park, so this game will be different from other games. Please follow parking suggestions from those assisting with this. The game will begin promptly at 7 PM! We hope to see you there!

Emergency Forms

—IMPORTANT!—Each student’s PowerSchool account should be up to date as of today. Contact information should be listed and Emergency/Medical information should be provided. If you have not logged in and verified all information is correct, please do so at this time. We will be compiling our 2013-2014 School Directory from PowerSchool very soon. All emergency information must be provided for your child to be on campus, so it is important to have this required information up to date in PowerSchool.

If you do not have your PowerSchool login and password, please contact Sheila Ragsdale at or Kari Turner at

To access the link to PowerSchool, please visit PowerSchool will be located under the Quick Links section.

Also, when reviewing your child’s information, you will find an electronic signature and date box provided at the bottom of the Emergency/Medical tab. Upon completion, please submit your signature.

Box Tops & Campbell’s Labels

This is a reminder that CA collects Campbell’s labels and Box Tops through our CAA. The money raised from this project funds various school improvement projects. Last year we raised over $2000 through the Box Tops program alone! Please turn yours into your child’s teacher or Ms. Turnage in the front office.

Please join Fellowship of Christian Athletes on Wednesdays for our meeting! This year Upper school FCA will meet in Coach Holt’s classroom #118 (under the gym) and Intermediate school FCA will meet in Mrs. Hinson’s classroom #128.
