Cindy Vinson and I will transport the children from CA to First Baptist.  Please respond Kristi Truitt at ktruitt@clarksvilleacademy.com stating that you give permission for your child to ride with either one of us.  If you feel more comfortable, you may transport your child to FBC, but please remember that tryouts are closed.  When you pick up your child, please come in and sign a waiver for First Baptist Church.  The link below is the exact location you can pick up your child at 4:30 Monday – Wednesday and at 5:30 on Thursday.   It is located in the Hope Building and has a black awning at the entrance.

Challenge Based Learning Group Project

Spirit Night! Join Clarksville Academy for a Spirit Night at Chick-Fil-A on Wilma-Rudolph Blvd, Wednesday, April 10th from 5-8pm. All proceeds go to the CBL group working to feed Clarksville’s hungry. Can goods will also be collected.

Operation Restore Coy Lacy Park will be held on Saturday, April 13 from 1-3 p.m. This is a day where we will be working on the lawn, playground, and backstop of Coy Lacy Park. If you are interested in helping us work to make this park a better place please come and bring anything you think would be helpful such as weed eaters, shovels, paint, and even flowers! Every little bit helps! If you have any questions feel free to email us at agauchat@clarksvilleacademy.com. Thank you!

One of the CBL groups is working toward raising awareness about the growing amount of pet overpopulation within the Clarksville area. They are currently collecting any pet supplies that include: dog and cat treats/food, pet toys, cat litter, cleaning supplies (bleach, germ-x, etc.), and funds. The donations will be given to the local humane society and McFOTS (Montgomery County Friends of the Shelter). If you are able to help there is a donation box in the Clarksville Academy library. Thank you for your support!

Science Fun

Our lower school science classes are participating in an experiment of the week with Mrs. Askew. Throughout the semester she will video these and we will post them on our Clarksville Academy YouTube Channel. We encourage you to go out and watch these videos weekly. http://www.youtube.com/user/cacougarstn?feature=watch

Lower School Art

Like our Lower School Art Facebook Page! Mrs. Lawless is collecting bottle caps of all sizes and colors for an art project. Please save your bottle caps and bring in a Ziploc bag to lower school art.

Box Tops & Campbell’s Labels

This is a reminder that CA collects Campbell’s labels and Box Tops through our CAA. The money raised from this project funds various school improvement projects. Last year we raised over $1500 through the Box Tops program alone! Please turn yours into your child’s teacher or Ms. Turnage in the front office.

FCA

Please join Fellowship of Christian Athletes on Wednesdays for our meeting! This year Upper school FCA will meet in Coach Holt’s classroom #118 (under the gym) and Intermediate school FCA will meet in Mrs. Hinson’s classroom #128. We will be meeting on Wednesday mornings at 7:15 a.m. Please come and be a part of FCA, everyone is welcome! You do not have to be an athlete to participate in FCA.
