Wondering what to do this summer? Our summer camps have something for everyone! We have camps starting with our Pre-K students through to adults! Want to learn more about the iPad? How about some fun with Legos? Art or crafts more your thing? Are you an adult and looking to learn more about photography from a professional? Do you like to do science experiments? Play sports? No matter what your interest, we have something for you! Check it out online, but don’t delay our camps are filling up fast! Camps are not limited to CA students so bring a friend!
Testing season is in full bloom at Clarksville Academy. Please ensure your child has a number 2 pencil, gets a good nights sleep, and eats breakfast before their test.

If you are an athlete at CA you need to have a sports physical. Dr. McIntosh will offer sports physical for CA athletes on May 4 from 9-12. Congratulations Ashleigh Edlin
On March 22 in Chattanooga, TN Ashleigh Edlin competed in the State Gymnastics Competition. From there she qualified for the Region 8 Regional Gymnastics Competition last week in. At the end of this competition Ashleigh was in the top 13 finalists and chosen to compete in the National Gymnastics Competition on May 10-12 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. There will she compete in all areas including, bars, beams, vault and floor. Her goal is to be named the National Beam Champion! We are so proud of Ashleigh and wish her the best of luck!
The Annual 8th Grade Wax Museum will be held on Friday, April 26, 2013 from 1:15-2:45 on Procter Court. We invite you out to visit our historical and current event figures and learn more about their lives. This is a wonderful annual event at CA that our students work very hard for, please come out and support them.
Intermediate School Math Team
The CA Middle School Math Team competed at Austin Peay last week. Cheyenne Deibert took home 8 place overall for sixth grade while Brandon Walker placed 14th overall. The Clarksville Academy sixth grade placed 2nd in the Middle Tennessee competition!!!
New Playground at Complex
A big thank you to Patsy & Wade Smith for donating the new playground equipment at the Sports Complex. We appreciate the help of Bill Mace Homes and Eddie Burchett Construction for their help in the initial set up of the equipment and to the Varsity Baseball team for finishing the set up!
FCA Collecting Goods for Mission
The FCA will begin collecting goods to be sent with a Medical Brigade going to Ghana. If you would like to donate supplies, please bring these to Coach Holt’s classroom below the gym.

Jake Peterson, Athletic Director, is proud to announce the promotion of Chuck Holt as the Boys Varsity Head Basketball Coach. Holt is taking on the responsibility after Matt Wallace, current Head Coach stepped down this spring. Wallace, has seen increased responsibilities with his new title as Director of Finance & Operations. Wallace will continue with the program, but will be the Assistant Coach. After years of coaching together, Holt & Wallace remain a strong team. Holt came to CA last year after seeing great success at Stewart County High School as their Head Varsity Coach. Holt was there for 4 years. He also coached Intermediate Basketball at CA for 3 years. Wallace said, “There is no one I would rather have to lead this team, and help achieve our goals of winning district, region, and state championships, than Coach Holt. Chuck Holt is a great head coach & I look forward to coaching with him for many years to come.”
Hunter Education Course
What: Receive your license after taking this course. You will be able to hunt legally after the course is complete.
Who: Jereme Odom from the Tennessee Wildlife Resource Agency and assistant will be conducting the class.

* The last 4 hours will be conducted at Clarksville Academy (8am-noon)
on Sat. April 27th .
This involves a round table discussion, a test, and a one- hour live fire test.
* AGE -9 years old and up. **Parents please come with your student.

The first preview of building rendering was shown during our Annual Steak Dinner. The drawing will be on display in our foyer as well as online for our parents students alumni and other interested stake holders to view. Solutions Film Festival

Box Tops & Campbell’s Labels
This is a reminder that CA collects Campbell’s labels and Box Tops through our CAA. The money raised from this project funds various school improvement projects. Last year we raised over $1500 through the Box Tops program alone! Please turn yours into your child’s teacher or Ms. Turnage in the front office.
Please join Fellowship of Christian Athletes on Wednesdays for our meeting! This year Upper school FCA will meet in Coach Holt’s classroom #118 (under the gym) and Intermediate school FCA will meet in Mrs. Hinson’s classroom #128. We will be meeting on Wednesday mornings at 7:15 a.m. Please come and be a part of FCA, everyone is welcome! You do not have to be an athlete to participate in FCA.
