Science Lab Fun
This week students investigated seeds and plant parts. We soaked lima bean seeds allowing them to germinate. Using a microscope we viewed the seed embryos. We observed the small openings (stomata) on the underside of leaves. Students colored water to observe the effect on celery leaves and stems.
Third grade wants to thank the parents who came out to help our students make paper mache globes to help with our unit on Map Skills.
Students in the FUSE Science program have been learning about and using the Scientific Method in various labs.
More FUSE FUN
5th grade FUSE Social Studies students were busy last week as they filmed their CSI Investigation BREAKING NEWS reports!
The student used the News Booth app on their iPad to document the findings!
The APSU Mobile News Van came to visit, teaching students what it is truly like
to document history! Students were able to practice filming news and toured the control van.
Box Tops & Campbell’s Labels
This is a reminder that CA collects Campbell’s labels and Box Tops through our CAA. The money raised from this project funds various school improvement projects. Last year we raised over $2000 through the Box Tops program alone! Please turn yours into your child’s teacher or Ms. Turnage in the front office.
We encourage you to download our mobile app from the App Store. We are currently only available on Apple products. This app will provide wonderful updates about what is going on at our school.
