Box Tops & Campbell’s Labels

This is a reminder that CA collects Campbell’s labels and Box Tops through our CAA.  The money raised from this project funds various school improvement projects.  Last year we raised over $1500 through the Box Tops program alone!  Please turn yours into your child’s teacher or Ms. Turnage in the front office.

Challenge Based Learning

As part of our Challenge Based Learning initiative, CA Fifth graders are working to solve a real world problem. The problem: Many times Science Lab is incredibly messy, particularly for the 1st, 2nd, & 3rd graders.  The Challenge:  Come up with a product that can be produced for our 1st – 3rd grade classes to protect their clothing. They have designed the product and we will begin production next week.  Stay tuned for more information and we will reveal our solution.

Challenge Based Learning

Through Challenge Based Learning strategies, as well as the incorporation of the Engineering Design Process, CA 5th  graders are beginning to develop plans for an inquiry guided project.

The Problem:  As students can often gain more meaningful and lasting knowledge through real-world, hands-on experiences, determine how our community of students and families can utilize more of the outdoor campus space at Clarksville Academy for learning opportunities.

The Challenge:  How could we create an on-campus informational nature trail for students, prospective students, families, and community members that identifies, describes, and discusses the various plant and animal life surrounding Clarksville Academy.
