Lower School News for February 24 – March 2, 2014

2014 Winter Olympics iPad Project

Mrs. Hendrix’s 4th grade students and Mrs. Morgan’s 3rd grade students have been working very hard on a group iPad project.  Using a number of research materials, as well as their Barefoot Atlas and Haiku Deck iPad apps, the students created presentations about the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia.  The students worked in groups of 2-3 over the course of 4 days to create these presentations.  This was not only a wonderful learning experience for the kids, but gave them an opportunity to teach one another on their area of iPad expertise!

This is a reminder that CA collects Campbell’s labels and Box Tops through our CAA. The money raised from this project funds various school improvement projects. Last year we raised over $2000 through the Box Tops program alone! Please turn yours into your child’s teacher or Ms. Turnage in the front office.
