The Intermediate Choir and The Cougar Choir performed for the Lighting of the Christmas Tree on the Courthouse steps. Both choirs shared music from their upcoming performance, “An Old Fashioned Christmas”.
Let our CA choir students warm your heart with their upcoming Christmas concert, “An Old Fashioned Christmas” @ The Customs House Museum-December 12th @ 6:00 p.m. You will love singing Christmas Carols and enjoying special music from our Intermediate Choir and The Cougar Choir. Join us at 5:30 for some hot cider and dessert before the concert.
If you are not in the “Holiday Spirit” you will be by the time our Lower School Students perform for you their Christmas program, “In The Spirit”. The Performance will be held on December 19th @ 8:30 a.m. in the main gym. “Brio”, a string ensemble, will perform throughout the program along with special instrumental performances by some of our 5th grade students. A “big celebration” will take place at the end of our performance as we sing, “In The Spirit”. Don’t miss the fun!
Each class will have an end of the year Christmas party next week. Please see your child’s classroom newsletter for more details. The Christmas ornament your child made for the CA tree will also be sent home on Thursday, December 18 for you to enjoy on your tree!
Literacy Day was a HUGE success! The transformation of the library was magical and we hope you were able to join us. Thank you to Lisa Wilson for all her help and leadership transforming our library into Christmastown. The story of Rudolph truly came to life! Thank you to Mrs. Procter, Mrs. Durrett, & Mrs. Goostree for their hours of planning and to Mrs. Amanda Pitt, her intermediate drama students, and Mr. Kyle Christmas and his guitar students for setting the scene. Thank you to the Roxy Regional Theatre for lending us Donald Groves to play the part of our narrator. This day was such a wonderful experience for all our students. Stay tuned for an online album featuring some of our favorite photos.
Fourth grade FUSE Science students learned about mixtures and solutions and how they can be separated.
Fifth grade FUSE Science students used “mystery boxes” to investigate what is inside matter.
We encourage you to download our mobile app from the App Store. We are currently only available on Apple products. This app will provide wonderful updates about what is going on at our school.
Box Tops & Campbell’s Labels
This is a reminder that CA collects Campbell’s labels and Box Tops through our CAA. The money raised from this project funds various school improvement projects. Last year we raised over $2000 through the Box Tops program alone! Please turn yours into your child’s teacher or Ms. Turnage in the front office.
