8th grade students researched famous scientists and used the information they found to create children’s books. They incorporated technology with their research and then by making an iBook on their iPad. These books were read to 2nd and 3rd grade students who marveled at the interesting people who have influence our world through science and technology!
Challenge Based Learning
As part of their Challenge Based Learning experience, Intermediate School Students in the Williams/Hinson Column of Tribute: HONOR, & Minton/McQueen Column of Tribute: HUMANITIES, designed and created our CA “Tiles of Tribute” easel for our Veterans Day Program. They researched images of HOPE, PEACE, STRENGTH, ENDURANCE, & FREEDOM. They sketched their drawings, then painted their commemorative tiles. They painted and assisted with the construction of the easel, and designed the layout of the tiles. There are 101 tiles to represent the 101st Airborne Division. Following the ceremony, the tiles will be presented to Wounded Warriors, and their families, in our community.

Box Tops & Campbell’s Labels
This is a reminder that CA collects Campbell’s labels and Box Tops through our CAA. The money raised from this project funds various school improvement projects. Last year we raised over $2000 through the Box Tops program alone! Please turn yours into your child’s teacher or Ms. Turnage in the front office.
