Intermediate School News: April 24 – April 28, 2017

iLink

Intermediate iLink students spread so much kindness today as part of our culminating community service project for the school year. To promote literacy, iLink students wrote a summary of a favorite fourth grade book. They then traveled to Burt Elementary to deliver the book to a fourth grader. They spent one on one time with their new buddy, reading the summary and the first chapter of the book. To finish off the activity, our students gave their buddy the book along with a  wonderful little snack bag of goodies. The fourth graders were so excited. They were clutching their new treats and grinning the biggest grins on the way back to their classes. It was such a heart warming experience for all of us.

iLink students then headed over to neighboring Pettus Park to clean up and beautify the area. Our students are the best!
