Intermediate School News March 2 – 8, 2015

Intermediate School Winter Dance

The Intermediate School Winter Dance has been rescheduled for this Saturday, March 7 from 6:00-9:00 PM in the Aux Gym.

Predators Intro Clinic

The Nashville Predators will be on campus on Wednesday, March 4 to present a short introductory clinic to our 8th grade PE class on a general overview of hockey.

Steak Dinner

With our recent days out of school and the inability to have weekend rehearsals on campus for this year’s performance at CA’s Annual An Evening with Friends Steak Dinner, the Steak Dinner committee has come to a decision that there is inadequate time for preparation to continue with our original March 7th show date.  Please make note that CA’s Annual An Evening with Friends Steak Dinner will now be on Saturday, April 18, 2015, at 6:00 P.M.  Tickets may be purchased through Mrs. Kari Turner in the front office.

You will receive a new RSVP card in the mail to replace the one you received earlier.  We apologize for any scheduling conflicts that this may have caused your family, but to have a top rate dinner and performance of this caliber, this decision was necessary.

Please mark your calendar and we look forward to seeing you there!

Intermediate School Basketball Girls

The Intermediate Girl’s basketball team held their end of season banquet on February 24, 2015 in the CA Aux Gym.  Team members were recognized with individual accolades from Coach Steven Kelley, and presented with a medal featuring a Cougar paw on the front and the inscription of “2014-15 Intermediate Lady Cougars, GNAC Runner Up, I Will Fight, and the player’s name on the back.   Coach Kelley also recognized the faithful support of, Jack Deibert, as the team’s statistician for the season.  Coach Cindy Kircher followed with comments on the girl’s success to work as a team, and her pride in their overall sportsmanship and character.  Finally, parents and team members presented Coach Kelley with a signed Cougar jersey that was framed and personalized as a gesture of appreciation for his hard work and support of the team.

The Intermediate Girl’s ended their season with an overall record of 9-3.  The Cougars persevered, beating Merrill Hyde three games in a row to advance to the GNAC championship game where they finished as Runner Up.  Ashley Roberts and Charlton Kelley were chosen as GNAC All Conference players by the conference coaches. Roberts and Kelley were also chosen to play in the Inaugural KY/TN 8th Grade All Star Game hosted by The Playmakers Basketball Academy.
