Lower School Summer Reading List (Grades 2nd – 5th)
This summer, we are introducing a new approach to summer reading that combines our commitment to lifelong learning and the latest research in the field of adolescent literacy. This research supports the idea when students have a choice in their reading selections, they are more likely to read the material and gain a deeper appreciation for literature. Therefore, we are providing a list of popular websites from local, state, and national professional organizations to use as resources when choosing reading selections.
Intermediate School Summer Reading List (Grades 6th – 8th)
The summer reading is designed to provide a positive boost toward your child’s achievement in the 2016-2017 school year. Please encourage your child to read as much as possible over the summer. Each student is to read the selection(s) for their grade level in which he or she is enrolled for fall. From the links below, print and complete all activities listed and have these materials ready for the first day of school.
Upper School Summer Reading List (Grades 9th – 12th)
