During the summer, Mrs. Joanne Askew held a Science Camp for elementary students from around Clarksville.
In line with our current Challenge Based Learning implementation, Mrs. Askew’s students created their own challenge.
Our future depends on innovation and science drives innovation. But, research shows we are failing to keep a majority of students interested in math and science. We must increase engagement, build excitement and help students understand the importance of science. Mrs. Askew’s Summer Science Camp challenges students to find innovative ways to make science matter!
The Essential Question
How do we build excitement and inform the community about science camp?
To inform others about the importance of science camp
Create an informational video to create excitment and demonstrate the importance of science and math. See the solutions video that Mrs. Askew’s class created.
