After School Enrichment

New Classes Starting!

After School Enrichment provides students with opportunities to take part in teacher led classes/activities after the school day. Classes include but are not limited to Cursive Writing, Drawing, ACT Enrichment, and more. Each class varies in the length of time it is offered and in the cost of the program. Modern Brush Calligraphy 

In this course you will learn all the basics of Modern Calligraphy. We will focus on technique and connection of letters, how to mix and match fonts and how to properly use different calligraphy tools. This course will include a small chalkboard, 2 brush pens, 1 ornament (we will letter on this during class) and a set of practice sheets. The class will run from November 14-December 7.  Students can choose either a Tuesday or Thursday option and class will take place from 3:30-4:30 in Mrs. Morgan James’ room. Open to 6th grade through adult. **Pay Mrs. James per class or for the whole session.
$30.00 Supplies , $15 per class

Babysitting Certification–Do you have a young person who wants to be a babysitter? Or maybe older siblings who need to know how to care for younger siblings? Sign them up for this three day after school enrichment!

Babysitting Certification using the Red Cross certification training and hands on experience with diapering training, basic first aid, and basic cooking skills.

Cooking with Karen

Mrs. Dirksen is excited to announce a new offering in the Cafeteria! She will host a “Christmas Gifts from the Kitchen” after school enrichment course from December 4-December 8. Students will report to the kitchen from 3:00-5:00 PM. All ingredients and supplies will be provided and students will make 10 Christmas gifts in a jar! This fun-filled activity will provide you with great gifts for your loved ones!   Students will get to taste test each day’s project. They will receive a recipe book and bag for all their goodies! This class is open to 4th-7th graders and is available to only 20 students. The cost is $100. *Payments made to Mrs. Dirksen.


Drawing with Pencils and Pastels

Every Tuesday starting September 13th from 3:30-4:30, Drawing with Pencils & Pastels will be held with Mrs. Shelley Holt in her classroom. Students will work on drawing skills using graphite, soft pastels, and oil pastels. The cost is $20/hr and this class is open to 3rd grade-Adult.  Register using the above link. **Payments made to Mrs. Holt


Cost: $15.00 for each hour ($30.00 a week) This cost includes all materials.

ACT Math Prep Course

Students wishing to boost their ACT Mathematics score can attend hour
long training sessions dealing with skill work, testing strategies,
and practice strategies. Students can bring practice tests and discuss
specific items, analyze previous test performance, or participate in
timed testing simulations. Sessions are Wednesdays from 3:30 to 4:30.
$30 per session–Payment made to Mr. Boyd

Fitness with Danny Magrans–CLOSED

The Afterschool Enrichment Fitness Program is intended to maximize potential, increase confidence and develop functional fitness for all participants. A progressive training program will be taught to improve speed, balance, mechanics, and strength in a fun and very engaging manner. This program is intended for a wide range of participants, and no prior athletic experience is needed.

*Classes will meet every Tuesday and Thursday  from:

3:30 – 4:30     (Elementary)

4:30 – 5:30     (Middle/High)

*Days of the week are subject to change
